My efforts in research
are focused on the contributions of neurobiology to education. The evidence of
the connections between our actions, beliefs, physical
health and learning are compelling. I have been an instructor of extended
studies for Adams State College for 7 years and currently own and operate Gray
Matters®. Our goal at Gray Matters is to re-ignite learning in every classroom
using brain-compatible curriculum to further academic achievement.
I have been teaching
in Colorado for 13 years. My undergraduate degrees are in History and Psychology
and I received my master's degree from the University of
Denver.
I offer ongoing staff
development in the areas of At-Risk training as well as In-services in a wide
range of topics in a number of Western States. I have had the honor of
presenting at National Conferences.
